We are thrilled to announce Dana Okerlund as the new Director of Product at GUIDEcx.
Dana brings a uniquely multidisciplinary background to GUIDEcx, with experience spanning education, professional services, and product leadership. Before entering the technology industry, Dana worked as a special education teacher before transitioning into EdTech through a software she used in her own classroom, a move that sparked a decade-plus career.
Dana joined MasteryConnect full time, where she led services and professional development initiatives before transitioning into product management following the company’s acquisition by Instructure. Her experience includes managing software products focused on assessment while leading international teams.
Throughout her career, Dana has been drawn to complex problems centered around people: how to design experiences that adapt to different needs, scale effectively, and create meaningful outcomes. That curiosity and customer-first mindset are what makes her a natural fit for customer onboarding.
Reflecting on her decision to join GUIDEcx, Dana shared that she was “ready for a new problem to love” and found that challenge in helping organizations improve customer onboarding and accelerate time to value.
Commenting on Dana’s appointment, Peter Ord, CEO of GUIDEcx, shared:
“We are incredibly excited to have Dana Okerlund join us as our new Director of Product. Dana possesses a rare talent for being relentlessly inquisitive and challenging the status quo, qualities that are essential as we continue to define and lead the Customer Onboarding Software category.
Since GUIDEcx created this category in 2017, our mission has been to streamline and automate the client-facing implementation process. Dana’s approach to product leadership is exactly what we need to push the boundaries of what’s possible, ensuring we remain the gold standard for companies looking to deliver world-class onboarding experiences.”
Dana’s perspective on product development aligns closely with GUIDEcx’s approach to customer onboarding: recognizing that every team, company, and customer has different contexts, needs, and definitions of success. Her focus will be on building solutions that are flexible enough to meet organizations where they are while remaining scalable enough to support exceptional onboarding experiences at scale.
At GUIDEcx, Dana will help shape the future of the platform as we continue to invest in innovation that helps customers achieve value faster and create stronger partnerships throughout the onboarding journey.
When she’s not working, you can find Dana spending time with her kids, lost in a good book, or tending to her garden.
Please join us in welcoming Dana to the GUIDEcx team.
