GUIDEcx®, the leader in client onboarding software, recently released several new and updated features designed to increase customer engagement, satisfaction, and retention. As the brand shifts to a new look and its emphasis on being a Guide for client onboarding, these new products are the next evolution of GUIDEcx.

GUIDEcx is committed to helping people work better together,” says Peter Ord, GUIDEcx founder and CEO. “For this release, we’ve invested in a series of updates and new features, like our Compass Experience, that help our customers work with their customers better.”

New features include the Compass Experience, an update to the overall Customer Portal; easier integration of GUIDEcx into existing workflows (including Jira Connector); the introduction of Task Groups, which can make a task dependent on a group of tasks; and updates to roles and permissions, which include the ability to pool work.

The Compass Experience (beta)

The new “Compass Experience” provides a personalized customer dashboard with a summary-level look at all tasks. The updated, clean design makes it easy for customers to quickly review their tasks, associated deadlines, and responsible point people, summarizing key information in one location.

Feature Value

With the goal of increasing customer engagement, the new Compass Experience continues to provide customers with one-click account access via Secure Links, eliminating login requirements. In addition, the simplified dashboard design with associated task lists and deadlines assists customers in understanding “what’s next” in their onboarding process and who is responsible for each step. The personalized Compass Experience removes the noise of traditional project management tools and allows each user to focus on what’s important to them. This summary dashboard approach makes it easier for users to engage in and complete assigned onboarding tasks.

Feature Benefits

The clean look and easy-to-use interface of the new Compass Experience helps users complete tasks faster due to the ability to see all of their assignments in one place, update tasks, and prioritize projects as needed. This workflow creates a more efficient process and helps ensure visibility on all tasks, making sure that no task gets “lost in the shuffle” of everyday work.

Integrations

It’s never been easier to integrate GUIDEcx into existing workflows. With robust connections for Jira, Salesforce, HubSpot, and countless other platforms, GUIDEcx was built first to support onboarding needs as data flows throughout your organization.

Feature Value

GUIDEcx’s seamless integration capabilities eliminate labor-intensive processes required to build custom integrations. Now teams can easily integrate tasks and work easily across multiple platforms, minimizing the amount of IT support needed to get you up and running. This premier customer experience with intelligent automation connects the entire onboarding experience with end-to-end insights, leading to increased customer satisfaction and retention.

Jira Connector

One of the latest integration options within GUIDEcx includes the Jira Connector. Implementation teams can now work with their dev teams to manage custom work across Jira and GUIDEcx, allowing coordination across platforms. Project managers can now decide which work is pushed to Jira from GUIDEcx and which issues get pulled into the customer-facing project in GUIDEcx from Jira.

Task Groups

One of the newest elements of this release is the Task Groups feature. Designed to better organize workflow, Task Groups were created to provide additional layers for subtasks. These subtasks include all the robustness of a regular task—including assignee, dependencies, time tracking, etc.—but also allow team members or users to group a set of tasks together at a lower level than a milestone. This feature provides a method for making a task dependent on multiple other tasks.

Feature Value

The Task Groups function reduces visual noise on the Plan View page and allows users to better organize their projects. Additional updates include the ability to bulk edit, duplicate, ungroup, or delete tasks. Task Groups can be grouped by existing tasks or be built from scratch. This new function also provides notifications when a task group is complete. Task Groups can be created in Templates or in Plan View.

Feature Benefits

Task groups are perfect for users who have a series of tasks but don’t want to create another milestone. This feature also allows the Project Manager to set task group dependencies on subsequent tasks preventing assignees from starting work on a certain task until the group of tasks has been completed.

Roles and Permissions

New options for roles and permissions give administrators increased project management control. These new roles make it easier for providers to access their GUIDEcx account.

Global Tasks: Functions “Pool Work” (beta)

The “Pool Work” filter is currently in beta and allows contributors to filter global tasks to see any tasks assigned to their function. A contributor can also assign any of these tasks to themselves, adding them to the project, and complete each task. This option can be toggled on and off by the Project Manager. To be added to the beta, clients can request access through their CSM.

A driving factor in this release was how GUIDEcx can make the process easier and more clear for users. GUIDEcx is here to “guide” you through this process in a transparent and supportive manner.

Feature Benefits

The additional roles to GUIDEcx’s available licenses offer a more robust set of permissions for Provider users. There is also added flexibility for free users to reduce burden on paid users and increase engagement.

“Collectively, all of these new features further enhance the user experience and help guide customers through the client onboarding process. Our goal in creating these updates is to continue to make the user experience as smooth as possible,” says Cody Irwin, vice president of product. “These product enhancements are key to the next evolution of GUIDEcx.”
